Freedom has developed an affordable range of energising outdoor activities for all the family. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, Freedom combines team building and leadership with surfing, land yachting and Nordic walking to create a holistic outdoor experience. Blessed with moderate conditions all year round, Tramore is a safe space perfectly placed for learning new wind and water sports. Moreover, Tramore is a natural outdoor adventure park with its large beach, the bay, sand dunes & lagoon area just waiting to be enjoyed in a new way. Billy Butler, a native of Tramore, has travelled the world but has always carried a torch for his home town. Dedicated to the development of his community and passionate about the natural environment, Billy has been heavily involved in several community projects over the years, including co-organising the World Oceans Festival. An avid surfer and outdoor enthusiast, Billy has represented Ireland on the waves at international level and can count life-saving, blokarting, surf and Nordic walking instruction among his many qualifications. Billy recounts how he “grew up during the recession of the 80’s when there was little money around, but I always managed to have a great outdoor activity life. The beach now has so many new and innovative activities waiting to be tried. We’re all about activity for life, we’re here to show you the way, after that it’s up to you to see how far you would like to take it.”
