The Park Hotel Sports Star of the month for April is Waterford City born jockey Danny Grant. Currently riding for Pat Flynn stable, Danny is just back from a very successful season in India. He also spent last winter in India, where he again enjoyed a good season, a country where he has now ridden over 50 winners and claimed the Champion Jockey’s title for the 2009 season.

On Wednesday last, the Park Hotel’s Pierce Flynn presented Danny with the 220th monthly Park Hotel Award; where they were joined by adjudicators John A Murphy, The Irish Examiner (left) and John O’Connor, The Munster Express.
