Lordan lords it at Tramore

The sun shone at a well-attended Tramore last Thursday, as did jockey Wayne Lordan, winning two of the three Flat races on the card. He wasted no time in getting off the mark, winning the opening ‘Sponsor A Race At Tramore Handicap’ in great style on the Edward O’Grady-trained Law Officer. He completed his brace on the Thomond O’Mara-trained The Pott Reidy in the Waterford & Tramore Directors Handicap. Perhaps the most visually impressive winning performance on the card came from the Willie Mullins-trained Tawaagg in the Guillamene Maiden, with the five-year-old stretching right away under Paul Townend to prevail by eight lengths.
