St Mary’s Juveniles

Minor Hurling

The minor hurlers have played and won their two games over the couple of weeks. Their first outing was in Dunhill against Ballyduff Lower. This was a hard fought game on both sides, but St Mary’s showed great heart and determination, which resulted in a good win for them. Last Wednesday evening saw Dungarvan host St Mary’s v Brickeys. St Mary’s were short a number of players but were still able to field a team and had a comfortable victory with some fine individual performances. The team have a bye this week.

Under 14

The U14s had a good victory over Ring last week in Kill. They were due to play Stradbally on Monday; however, due to a death in Stradbally this game was postponed. A number of games in this age group have been postponed of late due to holiday commitments, and it is hoped to get the backlog of games sorted in the coming weeks.

Fundraiser

We had a very successful fundraiser in Bonmahon last Friday night, which generated some much-needed funds for the club by means of a raffle on the night. We thank all the local businesses and individuals from Kill, Bonmahon and Newtown who sponsored prizes and food, and to Richie and Louise for the use of the premises. Thanks also to the ticket sellers!
