Waterpark U17s: Munster champions and now on the brink of All-Ireland glory this Saturday.

If you thought that Munster’s Heineken Cup encounter on Saturday was a bruising affair, you should have been in Nenagh on Sunday last to witness something similar, as these two teams went at it hammer and tongs from the first whistle to the last, during which they showed a high degree of self-discipline and most of all pride and passion in their respective jerseys.

I said in previous reports that it would take a very good side to beat this Waterpark side. I now wish to revise that statement to “an exceptional side” as I’m sure that the men from the West must be wondering how they didn’t manage to cross the Park line for more than one try during the course of this game.

The answer is very simple – sheer guts and determination from every Park player who put their bodies on the line on more than one occasion to tackle anything in a blue jersey that threatened their line. If you’re going to beat this side, the opposition will have to come up with some strategy or other which will enable them to break down a dogged defence, and also to be able to put them away when the chips are down.
