7. Tramore Played 16 Pnts 18
8. Johnville Played 17 Pts 15
9. Ferrybank Played 18 Pts 15
10. Southend Played 15 Pts 14
That is the state of play as we enter the business end of the Premier League season. Ferrybank have completed their campaign with a total of 15 points. Johnville have one game left to play against Carrick United in St Martin’s Park.
If Johnville lose that game they would face Ferrybank in a relegation play-off game. Southend United have three games left to play. This evening (Wednesday) they play away to Villa. If they lose that game they still have two games left to go level with Ferrybank and Johnville.
However, if they defeat Villa they will be safe. Their other games are home to Tramore and home to Carrick United.
At the top, Waterford Crystal are beginning to wobble somewhat and for the third game running they dropped points. If Bohemians defeat Tramore this evening they will draw level with Waterford Crystal. It’s still all to play for at the top and the bottom.
