Dungarvan United 3;  Bohemians 1

Dungarvan United went into this game without a point from four games against a team who had come off the back of a great win against St Saviours in their previous outing. That was Bohemians first victory of the season and a win against the Old Borough side in Kilrush Park would have moved them six points clear of their opponents.
The Waterford city team got off to a good start when David Barrett gave them the lead after 18 minutes and yet another defeat looked on the cards for the home side. However, the game was turned on its head within the space of two minutes before the break. Gavin Crotty equalised on 38 minutes and two minutes later Kevin Walsh scored from the penalty spot to put the hosts in front.
With so much at stake, even at this early stage of the campaign the second period was a very edgy affair but Dungarvan clinched the all important winner 5 minutes from full-time through Dave Sheridan. It looks as if the scrap at the bottom will be every bit as exciting as the title race once again this season.
