As names go, Cork City Foras Co-op ranks up there with Botswana Meat Commission FC. I appreciate they’re in a hurry to get the new club up and running — and for all the righteous indignation the League really does need the People’s Republic — but is that the best they could think of?

I know they’ve already been through Bohs, Celtic, United, Athletic and Hibs in the past, but surely there are plenty of other (inoffensive) nouns that could be paired with the C-word (which comes from corcach, meaning ‘swamp’).
