Quarterback Russell Wilson won his first Super Bowl as the Seattle Seahawks overpowered the Denver Broncos in the on Sunday last.

It can take three and a half hours to play, is punctuated with stops for ‘flags on the play’ time-outs and challenges but the Super Bowl remains one of the most spectacular sporting events in the World and there’s nothing like watching it live, despite the 11.30pm kick-off time.

Super Bowl 48 from the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday last between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos promised to be one of the closest ever but from the moment the Seahawks took the lead, thanks to a safety after 12 seconds, they dominated the game and in the end ran out very easy winners on a 43-8 scoreline.

Although the Broncos managed eight points in that third quarter the game was well and truly over as Seattle scored another two touchdowns to take an unassailable 36 points lead into the final quarter. Broncos’ quarter-back Peyton Manning may end his career without the Championship he’s craved for so long.
