Bohemians, a club with a rich tradition in the FAI Junior Cup, a competition they won back in 1996, had to pull out all the stops to get the better of First Division outfit De La Salle in a breezy Williamstown on Sunday morning.
The weather conditions played a major part during the course of the game as indeed did substitutes on both sides. Playing with the advantage of the strong wind in the first half, the former champions led two nil at half time.
De La Salle though enjoyed the majority of play in the second period and they scored twice to level matters but it was Bohemians who scored what proved to be the winning goal late on with their only attack of the second 45 minutes.
