A 12-year-old boy sustained a broken arm during an assault by two other youths in the vicinity of Railway Square on Sunday afternoon.
The attack occurred around 3.45pm and the boy was brought to Waterford Regional Hospital for treatment.
Two youths were later arrested and are helping gardai with their enquiries.
Meanwhile gardai are warning motorists to be vigilant after a spate of car break-ins over the weekend.
Despite constant warnings by gardai, people are continuing to leave valuables items in cars, which make their vehicle a likely target for vandalism. Amongst the items regularly stolen from cars in Waterford are handbags and wallets, laptops, mobile phones and satellite navigation systems.
We never had satellite navigation systems when I lived in Waterford, wonder how we made it around.
Thats a typical Waterford jealous attitude/
Tony: Nothing to suggest its used locally, but instead many folk travel and use the GPS to assist in getting to their location. Not a crime, is it?!
what the heck has that got to do with the actual story about the boy who broke his arm?
Michelle,
If you bothered to read the article it goes on to talk about crime in general, read it and you will get the association.
Kevin,
Not a crime, no, a friend has since told me that she uses her GPS on trips to continental Europe. That I understand more than a trip to Dunmore or Woodstown.
you people crack me up!
Tony is correct we would navigate on our raft without GPS, give me a call it would be good to catch up, only one Dwan in the book in Swansea.Railway square will never be the same
