Great enthusiasm was displayed last week at the launch in Waterford of a major new jobs initiative. With the creation of 70 new jobs, there were a lot happy stories from new entrepreneurs who were unemployed but qualified for a special programme promoted by the Department of Social Protection.
The Deputy Mayor of Waterford, Councillor Hilary Quinlan, was in attendance and was fulsome in his praise and enthusiasm. Also present was Deputy Paudie Coffey whose own background is in the area of small business.
