Johnville 1; Tramore 4

Tramore followed up their midweek draw with Carrick United by hammering Johnville in St Martin’s Park on Sunday morning. The Seasiders have taken some time to find their form this season but they are now coming good. Keep an eye out for them in the Ardagh Cup. This defeat means that Johnville are once again deep in a relegation struggle.

Tramore went in front after 10 minutes of play. Ian Nagle sent over a free-kick from the right to the far post and the unmarked Martin Whelan side-footed the ball past Dean Purcell.

Johnville got back on level terms on 21 minutes when a corner kick taken by Dave Walsh was powerfully headed home by Liam O’Meara. The visitors regained their advantage 4 minutes later through Martin Whelan who finished off good work by Ian Nagle.

Tramore scored again after 28 minutes. Ian Stenson and Gavin Falconer combined to set up Sean Browne who finished in fine style.

Sean Browne scored again on 64 minutes when he found the net after a corner kick was not cleared by the Johnville defence. Tramore could have scored more goals but at that stage the game was well and truly over.
