When Red Kettle Theatre Company advertised for writers to submit new and unpublished plays, nobody expected the 380 submissions that would be received. After much deliberation, the entries were whittled down to just 8 plays, by playwrights from Scotland, Wales, England and Ireland. These will feature in the Waterford Festival of New Plays at Garter Lane this weekend. James Hyde is the writer of ‘Slán Go Fóil’, directed by Jim Nolan.
