Spraoi’s 21st festivities last weekend were marked with music, laughter, a riot of colour, the unflagging energy of 1,000 volunteers – and not a drop of rain. “We’ve celebrated the company’s growing up in Waterford with a fantastic three days of street theatre and music and the crowd that turned out tonight is proof that Spraoi continues to grow in the hearts of the people of Waterford”, enthused Spraoi Director TV Honan on Sunday night in the wake of the Flotsam and Jetsam parade which attracted up to 50,000 spectators in the city centre.
