Recruitment has commenced for approximately 60 engineers, technicians, and individuals with quality assurance control skills for the new West Pharma plant at Carrickphierish.
A number of top executives from the company were in Waterford last week to announce details of the recruitment drive, while construction is advancing steadily at the 44-acre site on the Old Kilmeaden Road. The building is expected to be weather-sealed by July, after which the interior will be fitted-out.
A company spokesperson said individuals who have worked in an industrial setting and operated equipment will also sought by the end of this year. A management team for the plant has not yet been hired. West Pharma anticipates recruiting a further 90 staff in 2017, with the company set to create a total of 150 jobs by 2018.
