The magic of cup football was well and truly demonstrated in Connors Park on Thursday night last.
A fancied Villa team who are going great guns in the under 11A league were fancied to open up their cup campaign with a victory against a Johnville team who are not setting the under 11B league alive but as often happens in cup football it was the underdogs who came out on top and when the full time whistle blew the young Johnville players celebrated as if they had actually won the cup.
