Every current and retired member of An Garda Siochana will, no doubt, be following with interest a rather unusual court case heard in Circuit Civil Court in Dublin last week. It concerns a retired Garda Sergeant who is suing the Garda Commissioner and the State for more than €32,000 in expenses in connection with a career transfer during his service with the force.
