As we come to the conclusion of the election, it seemed like a campaign that never caught the public imagination. The EU, Central Bank and IMF controls mean that politicians have little room to manoeuvre. Lots of independents are standing but, without a party, they seem a little lost. They could have created a more alternative to the established parties with more cohesion.

When the new Government takes its seats, reform has to be high on the agenda. Bring in a list style system so we have qualified Finance Minsiters, Health Ministers, Justice and Enterprise. These departments are specialist and need
