Getting the work-life balance right seems to be one of the challenges regularly laid down by media articles. We are constantly hearing about this invisible scales and being told how important it is.
The difficulty is that it is so intangible and individual that we have to rely on our own happiness gauge to decide if we are getting it right or not. If we are relatively happy we assume that all is well and when we begin to get frustrated or stressed then we look for something out of kilter. So many things impact our feelings that being reliant on them to inform and control us is quite hazardous. Shouldn’t it be the other way around?
