It is just not happening for St Saviour’s in cup football this season. The previous week they crashed out of the FAI Junior Cup to Granagh so they were hoping to get the better of Bohemians in the MFA Cup on Saturday last but again they lost out by a goal. Their midfield player John Paul Jacob pushed Kevin Whittle inside the penalty area after 11 minutes and Glen O’Neill sent the ball past goalkeeper Graham Cleary from the spot. Bohemians had Kevin Whittle red carded after in the second half after he picked up a second yellow but his side held on despite the fact that St Saviour’s struck the woodwork on two occasions afterwards. Bohs also struck wood twice during the course of the game.
