Some weeks back when discussing effective action on ridding the ‘blind-spot’ at the Tesco service station Councillor Gary Wyse who followed that through to a successful outcome expressed an interest in getting involved in a much more ambitious project. He got my attention immediately as his focus was the development of the village of Ballygunner and wished to organise a meeting of minds for any one who would like to contribute to such ideas –great stuff! I have long pursued an interest in all things Ballygunner from the two national schools, nursing home at Havenwood, Foxy Bog, Knockboy Wetlands, the local church of St Mary’s ( its history and later planning issues), the hurling club at Ballygunner-its development and history. The beautiful vista as one travels down Knockboy Hill is a particular delight making this a great area to live.
