Hibernians 0; Carrick United 1

It would be fair to say that Carrick United have not reached any great heights to date this season but nevertheless they are right on the coattails of Waterford Crystal following his victory in Mitchell Kennedy Park. The champions struggled to beat Dungarvan and were held to a draw by Ferrybank and since the outset they have not really hit any sort of form, but nevertheless they are grinding out results despite having to play without a number of their star players.
FAI Junior Player of the Year Wayne Fitzgerald scored the only goal of this game midway through the second half. Hibernians are a hard team to break down and Carrick United will be delighted to have taken all of the points on offer from a venue where they have often struggled to get a result.
