Gardaí have warned the public to be vigilant following the discovery of counterfeit Pandora bracelets and fake €20 notes in circulation in the city.
A woman purchased what she believed to be three Pandora bracelets on the street in Ballybeg last Saturday from a female in her 50s with dark hair and also a male aged about 17 years wearing a grey pullover. On closer inspection, she discovered the bracelets to be fake.
Gardaí also discovered a number of counterfeit €20 notes on a person last weekend and have warned that €50 notes are also likely to be in circulation.
