November is the month designated in these parts by the Catholic Church in which we honour our dead.
Of course, many of us honour our deceased loved ones all year round, irrespective of our beliefs or lack thereof, but All Saints and Souls are remembered with additional deference as winter draws in.
And it’s only right that we pause, take stock and think of those who came before us; considering what they did for us and how they influence us every day.
Just by getting on with life, by being decent to ourselves and to others, we honour those people who set us on as honest and true a path as they could.
