On the majority of occasions, sport will reward effort and hard work. But on those other occasions, it would appear that the harder you try, the more Lady Luck appears to be against you.
I’m sure the latter feeling was in the pits of St Saviours’ stomachs when they awoke last Sunday morning, staring into a relegation battle.
For a long time in this tense senior football encounter against Ardmore, it looked as if St Saviours were going to win it.
