Carrick United, the holders of the Munster Cup had to pull out all the stopsto get the better of a superb St Josephs team in Tom Drohan Park on Sunday morning last to advance to the next stage of the competition.
The Saints, Waterford’s oldest club, won the Munster Cup way back in 1935, and the current crop of players who wear the famous blue and white shirts certainly did their forefathers proud in this contest, just as they did last season when they lost by the same scoreline to the same opposition.
