Waterford underage football is going through a glorious period at the present time. In recent week the two WIT teams (Premier and First Division) and the Waterford United Under19 team have recorded brilliant victories at the RSC.
Last week it was the turn of the St Paul’s Community School to turn on the style and they got their opening group game off to a flying start in the Munster Senior Schools competition at the Kilbarry venue.
Playing against the breeze in the first half they had goalkeeper Brandon O’Callaghan to thank for keeping the Co. Tipperary outfit at bay. Brandon, who is on the books of Wexford Youths was celebrating his 17th birthday and he produced three wonderful saves to keep Cashel at bay.
