If it’s a great night’s fun in the theatre you want, then those wonderful people in Mooncoin – The Moondharrig Players, have a farce to split your sides with at the Mooncoin parish Hall from Tuesday 27th February to 2nd March. Run For Your Wife by Ray Cooney is the right mix of fun and frolics by a master farceur who knows where the erogenous as well as the funny bones are located. This play is a masterpiece of comedy and a Fair City cast toured it to great acclaim some years ago.

Michael Conway is John Smith, the bigamous taxi-driver who has two wives and two families within driving distance. He prides himself on his well-run subterfuge until he is mugged and is dropped off at the wrong house and the wrong time and the merry mayhem ensues.

It has more laughs than Killinascully. Liam Hoban, as director, a sterling cast featuring Breda Walsh as wife Barbara and Aine Kearns as wife Mary. Frank Hogan plays the detective Porterhouse.

You will no doubt get a cup of tea and enjoy the added talents of Ronan Walsh, Seamus Kearns and George Carpendale in two roles. It’s always a great play in Mooncoin and it’s tickets on the door, so come early or phone Liam Hoban 051-895368 or 087-2520497.
