The Index Gallery at City Library is a great idea to allow new artists to display or exhibit their work in a busy space to attract attention. The Alastair Duckett exhibition of abstract work, numbering eleven canvases, shows the value of this space so well.
A little over a year ago Duckett was a design student who got an unpaid placement at the new SOMA contemporary gallery in Lombard Street and it inspired him to explore and make sense of his creative feelings.
