Billy Bragg came to the The Forum as part of the Imagine Arts Festival and co-sponsored by the Waterford Council of Trade Unions and worked a willing audience who sang along into a happy frenzy of caring and sharing for humanity. His guitar poured out musical fire that touched a gritty chord with many activists for one thing or another. The place felt alive as many Kept The Faith in a better world.

Introduced by Tom Creedon of the WCTU (We are stronger together) Bragg rocked into a protest song “Just because you’re going forwards, doesn’t mean I’m going backwards” as his guitar yelped and howled like a Clash guitarist. He did some Presidential candidate jokes and shared an aceric political wit as he lashed into “celebrate with a pint of beer and a new tattoo.”
