Festivals are not what they used to be and Galway Arts Festival is no exception. Once they were must-see events but now they just seem part of a circuit and a play you could see in Cork will be in Galway and later turn up in Kilkenny. Most of Galway’s income comes from music and bands in the Big Top in the Fisheries Field.
