I have mixed feelings about the Milia Tsaoussis-Maddock exhibition at Waterford Treasures with the Greek title Mythos & Logos – a tension of opposites. Perhaps, it is the artist’s statement that puts me off, with its academic shorthand but my advice is to go and see the work and avoid the statement.

Enjoy the beautiful contrast and harmony of the canvases with their geometric sections and architectural framework where the draughts woman escapes into a glorious excitement of colour. The venue has put chairs in place so you can sit and contemplate and explore the work and that would be a fruitful thing to do.
