Wayne Browne produced and edited an excellent hour-long programme about the Opera Festival that WLRfm broadcast at the end of the Waterford International Music Festival. Narrated by Jamie beamish this was an historic look and memorable acknowledgement of the impact and benefit of the Waterford International Festival of Light Opera as it celebrated its 50th year.

Part funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, Browne assembled a knowledgeable group who looked at the aspirational beginnings, the highs and the dips and the changes and the possible way forward. He also used a variety of fine operatic and musical excerpts to underline the impact this kind of music has had on a Waterford, proud of its theatrical and musical heritage.
