Promotion-chasing Grannagh lost 2-0 to fellow Division 1A side Bolton. Niall Hodgson, a former Watford youth player in England and Paddy Reilly scored for the Kilbarry men.
Piltown won another all-First Division when they defeated De La Salle 4-2. Declan Daly gave DLS the lead but goals from Glen Conway and two from Mark O’Driscoll had Piltown leading 3-1 early in the second half. James Kelly pulled a goal back for the home side but Gerry Walsh wrapped up the game for Piltown.
Former champins Carrick United had a facile 6-1 victory against Johnville in St Martin’s Park. Former Rock Rovers player JJ Butler scored a hat-trick. Thomas Fitzgerald bagged a brace and Bobby Landers also got on the score sheet. Peter Cleary netted the Johnville goal.
In-form Tramore crushed St Otteran’s 6-0. Stephen Grant chipped in with a hat-trick.
Christopher Grace, Michael Caulfield and Martin Whelan also found the St Otteran’s net.
