Children from the Travelling Community based in Waterford city, who had been bussed to school for the past 15 years, are now missing from their school desks after their free service was withdrawn.
The situation has been exacerbated by the fact that the bus operator previously engaged to collect children from the Carrickphierish and Williamstown housing schemes, continues to collect Traveller children with special needs at either location.
