Labour’s decision to run two general election candidates in Waterford for the first time in over 40 years is a risk, former party leader Pat Rabbitte has admitted, but it’s one worth taking.
Meeting with candidates Seamus Ryan and Ciara Conway in Waterford city yesterday, Deputy Rabbitte was confident that the party will retain the Dáil seat about to be vacated by Deputy Brian O’Shea.
“It’s always risky when you run two candidates; you can never take anything for granted – the people will decide,” said Labour’s Spokesperson on Justice.
