Efforts to reverse the Government’s decision to locate the new Waterford/Wexford VEC Headquarters in Wexford Town have been described as ‘feverish’ as we went to press.
It is understood that the City of Waterford VEC is to contact Education Minister Ruairí Quinn to ascertain how Wexford VEC’s credentials were considered to positively outweigh the case made for the city.
Among the matters to be raised by the city VEC shall be the subject of cost effectiveness. This is set to be referenced since it’s been widely suggested that the new regional HQ will be relocated closer to Wexford Town centre from the current facility at Ardcavan.
