Drivers in Waterford City are the worst in Munster, a survey of the number of penalty points distributed in each local authority area has revealed.
The comprehensive survey examined the number of penalty points handed out in the nine local authority jurisdictions in Munster from January 2009 until September 2011.
These figures were then compared with the population of each area.
Waterford City topped the poll having the highest number of penalty points distributed when compared with its population.
When city and county are combined, Waterford is the worst county overall in the province.
