Waterford luckily escaped blizzard like conditions yesterday, which marooned many people in neighbouring Wexford.
Snow, which caused havoc in Dublin and along the east coast over the last few days, engulfed parts of Wexford yesterday morning.
A cold weather system from the southeast of England moved across the Irish Sea to grip Wexford town, Enniscorthy and Gorey.
Met Éireann is forecasting further snow showers for eastern counties today (Wednesday), however Waterford may be lucky enough to escape.
The county has been surrounded by two bands of snow throughout the past few days.
Parts of Cork, as far east as Midleton, have been under snow for the past number of days, with areas of Wexford past New Ross receiving large accumulations yesterday.
