Waterford United 3; New Ross Celtic 0

Playing their first game since the dismissal of manager Stephen Henderson, Waterford United knocked New Ross Celtic out of the FAI Cup on Friday night at the RSC.
The visitors, who finished runner-up to Enniscorthy Shamrocks in the Wexford Premier League, turned in an excellent display considering that they had not played a competitive match for five weeks. The Blues were playing under the guidance of caretaker manager Paul O’Brien and coaches Alan Barry and Billy Hearne.
