Piltown came within 19 minutes of claiming all three points in their first ever Waterford Premier League match but had to settle for a share of the spoils following a 1-1 draw with Hibs in Mitchell Kennedy Park on Wednesday last.
They did however record the first goal of the new season when Gary Quirke scored after only 15 minutes of play. His strike was remarkable and no doubt it will be remembered by all concerned with the club for some time to come.
