Gaultier 1-9; An Rinn 1-8

Inspired by inter-county player JJ Hutchinson, Gaultier earned their first win of this year’s Championship when they held on for a narrow victory over An Rinn in Walsh Park last Saturday evening.

In a tense, hard fought encounter, Hutchinson’s eight points, of which five came from play, were instrumental in the Barony men’s victory.

The basis for Gaultier’s victory was unquestionably laid in the first half when they were vastly superior to the Westerners who were without several regular starters including, Tadhg O’hUallacháin and Ray and Shane O’Ceallaigh.
