A large band of supporters from Mooncoin travelled to Graun Park last week to cheer on the Under 14 team, and they went back home happy as they watched this talented outfit deservedly take back the Tom “Dixie” Conway Cup to its rightful home. One would have to feel a little sorry for Carrick United as the club had already lost a number of schoolboy deciders prior to this latest defeat, but on the night the Mooncoin side held the edge in most departments.
