The Village Grounds was the venue on Tuesday last for what proved to be something of a damp squib of a match between Ferrybank and the Villa. The home side came into the game on the back of a five nil drubbing at the hands of Tramore and they were determined to keep things tight at the back.
The Villa on the other hand had recorded a fine away draw against Carrick United on the opening day of the season, and they followed up that result by defeating Dungarvan United in Connors Park but on this occasion they did not have the firepower to break down the Ferrybank defence.
