Stradbally gave their Senior Championship survival chances a massive shot in the arm thanks to a tremendous sharing of the spoils with a fancied Lismore side at Fraher Field.
Ironically, the initial signs were not very good for the Covesiders.
Lismore’s first score came after just 21 seconds into the game thanks to a Maurice Shanahan goal.
However Stradbally’s response proved swift. Robert and Shane Ahearne, the latter again having a magnificent game, shot over points by the fifth minute.
