Andrew Mullally, the former Ferrybank player, made his debut as a Premier League referee in this game. The tall official made a big impression all through the game and he was congratulated by both sets of players after the match. He allowed the game flow superbly and used common sense at all times. He played the advantage rule brilliantly and did not display a card of any colour – a delightful change from the norm. His presence on the field was excellent. A top-class debut indeed from a referee who will add greatly to the local game.
