James-Power-StagemadStagemad Theatre Company’s latest production All Fall Down premieres at the Granary during the Imagine Arts Festival. The play, according to director James Power, will raise more questions than it answers with the audience.
“All Fall Down, which was written by Ciaran Murphy, is a two-person, one-act play set in an isolated, rural mountainous area. It’s a dark tragicomedy that will draw the audience behind the curtains of the private lives of brother and sister, Conor and Eva Healy.  Younger sibling Conor is a blind man, a polemicist of global proportions who is being cared for by his older, more straight-laced sister.  Conor relies on Eva for help in much of his day-to-day life, while she seems to be doing her best for him.  However, all is not what it seems!  The play explores what happens when their relationship begins to deteriorate and also raises the topical issue of what social supports are available in this country for people with disabilities – be they mental or physical in nature.  Furthermore, who will care for the Carer?
