Kilkenny League 0;   Waterford League 2

Two second half goals from St Saviours’ star striker Stephen Dalton gave Waterford a well-deserved victory over Kilkenny at sleet-hit Scanlon Park last Saturday evening.
Waterford boss Alfie Hale, who has managed teams on both sides of the Suir, certainly got his tactics right as Waterford were on top in every area of the field for the full ninety minutes. The Blues’ back four were superb and this gave Waterford a grip on the game that they never relinquished.
The visitors kicked off with a gale force wind at their backs and they had the ball in the net after only two minutes. Lee Russell floated in a free kick from the left touchline and John Paul Jacob outjumped the home defence to head the ball into the path of Michael Downey and he scored from six yards.
