Waterford 3-16; Dublin 2-19
Waterford emerged from Walsh Park on Sunday last with their unbeaten record for 2011 intact, but only just, after an entertaining draw with Anthony Daly’s Dublin.
In many ways, Waterford felt they had left it behind them after losing a five point lead but at the same time they would have settled for a draw when trailing by eight points during the first half.
Dublin played with the strong breeze and immediately set about using it to their advantage.
They positioned Liam Rushe at full-forward on the smaller Jerome Maher and tried to find him with long balls whenever the opportunity arose.
